How to Develop 360 waves Hairstyle Part 1/2

This guide is a somewhat simple interesting way of developing 360 waves. For newcomers or experienced wavers check this out. Some of the information may suprise you! But in order to develop 360 waves you have to QUALIFY. So check out the Qualifications to continue.

Qualifications:

Know your Hair texture. Whether its Curly,Coarse or Normal Hair thats flat.

Desire to develop waves

Patience

Persistance

Are you willing to listen and learn (Are you Teachable?)

This method of developing waves I am sharing with you is a slightly different way of developing the popular hairstyle. For one this method of developing waves requires absolutely No!!

Pomades

Relaxers

Gels

Artificial Hair products

"Wave" products

Or anything that will damage your hair.

Many people in todays society rely heavily on hair products, Blindly looking past the fact that many of these popular hair products are in fact damaging your hair. The reason why they dmage your hair is because they are made with harsh chemicals that are purposely put in. But for now I will not go deep into that. Read on carefully to learn how to develop a very effective way of developing 360 waves that does not require any of that garbage.

Lets Begin

You will need certain Utensils to get started properly.

Which are

1) Durags

2 Regular Durags you rotate every know and then for a month to a month and a half

Avoid Spandex or any kind of heavy durags-Durags (In truth suffocate the hair) So its best to avoid Heavy ones The lighter the better.

Also Avoid any specialty Durags such as "Wave Enforcer"Durags or Durags with hair treatments in them.

Also Avoid Durags that have small holes in them(from personal experience they mess up wave patterns.)

After Purchasing your durags gently wash them with natural soap (I'll discuss later) Replace Durags every 2 months or earlierif you see signs of them wearing out.

2) Brushes

Boar Bristle Brush - Medium,Soft and Hard

Although Brushes vary in prices It's good to make an Investment in quality brushes, I will not reccomend any specific brands because everyone is different, Everyone's hair texture is different. But I do reccomend a trial and error approach because its an effective way of learning what works specifically for your hair texture and what gives you the best results.

Brushing Techniques Vary But Generally you should brush the Crown going towards your Hairline and the Back of your Head going Down.The sides on the other hand You will need to practice different brush strokes to know what works best for the sides. When Brushing Pay attention to the sides and the back the most, The back and sides are usually the most overlooked.

3) Hair Product

This is one of the biggest issues when it comes to developing waves. There are so many products on the market that "Specialize" in wave developing. So the question is "What do I use? Honestly you don't neccesarily need any hair product. But look at it this way. It's like a bodybuilder working out to continue building mass. They don't neccesarily need a Whey protein supplement, But many builders use it because of the amount of stress they put their bodies under working out.They need something that will deliver protein and vital nutrients to the body so their bodies can heal and recover faster.

So If your new to developing waves. In the early stages of wave training you should be brushing NONSTOP, (Brushing Correctly and Evenly of course). So when you are brushing Nonstop throughout the day you are putting your hair and scalp under stress. So it is neccesary(but not mandatory) to use a hair product(I'll get into what product shortly) to avoid your hair from becoming dry and brittle.

So now "What should you use?"

You should be using products that are 100% Natural and/or Organic. Which means you absolutely must avoid chemicals at all costs!! Which MEANS YOU HAVE TO BE THE JUDGE. LOOK AT THE INGREDIENTS OF EVERY PRODUCT YOU USE. IF THEY CONTAIN ANY OF THESE PRODUCTS I HIGHLY SUGGEST YOU THROW THEM OUT

Petrolatum - Very Common Base ingredient

Mineral Oil - Very Common Base ingredient

Synthetic Fragrances

Preservatives - TBQH, BHT

Artificial Colors or Frangrances

Soybean Oil

ANYTHING YOU CANNOT PRONOUNCE - This is prevelant in many hair products but these chemicals that are put in that you cannot pronounce routinely damage your hair and absolutely do not benefit the hair.

This Is very important becuase these chemicals damage hair,destroy natural hair oils, clog hair follicles and lead to premature balding! These products are made by Big corportaions and are produced inexpensive and sold for a lot of money.These big hair companies and their arrogance.

The Solution

You should be Using Organic Oils Or Natural Hair products produced with organic ingeredients. Such As

**** Organic or 100% Natural Shea Butter *****

Organic Olive Oil

Organic Coconut Oil - Excellent Moisturizer

100% Cosmetic grade Grapeseed Oil

100% Cosmetic grade Sweet Almond Oil

100% Cosmetic grade Sesame Oil

Keep in mind that you should use these products every other day because they are OILS you hair produces natural oils so you don't want to clog your hair follicles.

Although these products are just the tip of the iceberg. There are many excellent hair products out there. But I personally reccomend 100% Natural Shea Butter. Not only is it affordable but it is extreemly effective in conditioning the hair. As well as also being versatile as a great skin conditioner (Which you will notice that many of the products mentioned can be used for skin as well as hair) I suugest If you are going to purchase Shea Butter that you purchase it from a Health Food store or Natural Market, Make sure your Shea Butter is a 100% Natural and/or Organic.

4) Shampoos

(Conditioners are Optional)

This is another very important step because like Hair products, Finding quality shampoos and conditioners can be costly. But there are many quality shampoos that are affordable

I Personally like DR Bronners Natural Liquid Soaps and personally use them on a regular bases.They come bottled in different colors to represent the oil being used example Almond-Green bottle, I suggest you buy three different kinds of this natual soap so you can rotate shampoos. Dr Bronners All in One Natural liquid Soap.

If you are looking for extreeme quality Morroco Method International Has excellent quallity natural shampoos and conditioners - But costly

Also Naturesbrand has wonderful shampoos as well. Search them on you favorite search engine for more information and remember AlWAYS LOOK AT THE INGREDIENTS!

When washing the hair you should wash twice

First washing - Gently massage hair and scalp with shampoo in it and rinse off with warm water

Second washing - Gently massage hair again adding a little more shampoo and massage for a couple of minutes. Then rinse off with cool water(Not Cold)

(Note: Many natural shampoos tend not to lather hair because they use no Harsh sulfates or detergents to cleanse hair)

5) Visual Aid

Have a few pictures showing the wave pattern you desire. The reason I put this last is because it is completely optional , But A very effective way of developing waves - Especially in the Early stages. The reason why Is because when you see people who have what you wnat it motivates you and makes you realize that it is possible to acheve that. Once again I strongly reccomend this for Early Wave developers while brushing their hair. The stimulation that images of what you want give to the mind is incredibly powerful -Trust Me!!!
